Kansas Science Festival TEAM activities for the kids to learn SCIENCE

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The 3rd annual Kansas Science Festival went on today in UNDER town Manhattan.

The festival had 150 presenters in 50 booths with a broad array of activities by STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) practitioners across the state. K-State, NBAF, along with others were present with things such as paper microscopes, exploration of Kansas’s native fish, and biophysics.

I mean everyone can learn, we want to get the kids excited but we also have progenitor come by and learn things and things like that I mean everybody can take something away at any age so we really enjoy doing this for the community and honestly we couldn’t do it without the community we had really good community support and we couldn’t have done it without them,” said Phillip Shults, Kansas Science Festival program coordinator.

Due to weather conditions, some of the activities were moved to the library.
